Welcome to the babble!

Warning: I talk a lot! About anything and everything. I don't hold back. So buckle up.

in 2010 I got the gastric sleeve and I couldn't be happier with my decision. My new life has finally begun!

Finally in 2012 I got my life's wish of being pregnant. Now this blog has transitioned from random blabber, to weight loss, to being a new mommy.
It's ever changing and ever evolving, just like me.

New

ok new year.
new job.
new slate.

today i had a bowl and a half of this really healthy cereal and vitamin water. the cereal was actually not bad at all. i liked it.

then for lunch i had tuna with celery on whole wheat with a banana and vitamin water.

and nothing else! no snacks, no candies. just breakfast and lunch! :) maybe its because i kept SUPER busy today.

and now its 8. ed is taking a nap. but i'm eating a salad with a lean cuisine pizza and vitamin water. i love vitamin water, what can i say? lol. if that doesn't hold me, i have some unsalted saltines.

i can't believe how well i'm doing today. and i was so tempted tonight. ed and i were at the drive thru at the pharmacy for almost an hour and there was a kfc right there. and on the way back ed was like we should get dinner. and there's a kfc, mcdonalds, boston market, and taco bell all on the way home. ahhh!! but i was like no, i'm being good. and he was was like oh no no no forget i said anything, you're a good girl. :)

i just need to stick to some sort of routine. the hardest part will be if i get hungry later tonight. i don't know what i can snack on that will be healthy. i'm not too hungry during the day. like by the time i get hungry again its time to eat. and it makes me really enjoy my food. every bite.

ok i'm off to have dinner! :)

(a little tip: to dress up the lean cuisine pizza i add a little red pepper flakes and cook it slightly in the microwave then transfer it to the oven. comes out nice and crunchy)

*update* had a late night snack at 10:30. 1 string cheese and a small individual cup of unsweetened applesauce. that helped.

  1. Wow Meli! I am sooooooo freakin' proud of you! I know it's reallly difficult. But look at you! You've done sooo well. I like reading what you are eating better. It gives me ideas. And believe it or not, its motivating me! I know you will succeed. It's a mind game. A mind game is all it is.
A little tip. At night, when I get hungry, I snack on like 2 pieces of cheese or a cheese stick. Or maybe a slice of turkey, too. If you like carrots, carrots are good too.
