Finally in 2012 I got my life's wish of being pregnant. Now this blog has transitioned from random blabber, to weight loss, to being a new mommy.
It's ever changing and ever evolving, just like me.

oh what a glorious morning!!

So i woke up today just before 6am as usual. I go to the bathroom and WOAH.....I GOT MY PERIOD!!! WOOHOO!! you guys this is a big deal!! the doctor said that the metformin would eventually regulate my period. and it did!!

that explains so much. why i've been so tired. the cramps. the sensitive nipples. but here's the weird thing. i didn't get my usual pms. i don't think i got moodswings. I had no clue i was getting my period. i was shocked to see the blood this morning. But here's the thing, right after i put on a tampon and headed out to the gym in a peppy mood, i started to get really achy and crampy. i couldn't bring myself to work out. i came right back and slipped into bed. the scraping feeling was intense. i felt like i had to go to the bathroom but i didn't. just pain. its weird. but i slept till about 10am and it was so luxurious and wonderful. i haven't slept like that in weeks!! man my body really needed it.

here's something to really smile about. i've been noticing my tummy getting smaller. i can feel it. so i'm guessing i lost those last 2lbs to get to a total of 20. but i don't dare get on the scale. and i'm glad i didn't! because i've been retaining water because of my period. which is even cooler. because i'm smaller even though i'm on my period! can't wait till after when i see even more result!

let me tell you, its the working out. thats the key. the metformin takes the glucose and instead of sending it to the fat cells it sends it to the energy cells. and now that i'm burning off that energy, i'm losing fat! its amazing! the lbs seem to be melting off quickly. in just 2 weeks i've seen a real change. and again, i haven't weighed myself. but i measured myself and it looks like i've lost an inch! so if i can keep up the workouts i think i'll really start seeing the results i've been wanting. even if i went down to 3 workouts a week it would still be good. since i don't know how long i can keep up this workout schedule. my goal is to do it for the entire month of oct though.

anyway...YAY!! i'm hoping to weigh myself next week or so. at this rate i will look even better than i look now for our cruise in november. :)
