Welcome to the babble!

Warning: I talk a lot! About anything and everything. I don't hold back. So buckle up.

in 2010 I got the gastric sleeve and I couldn't be happier with my decision. My new life has finally begun!

Finally in 2012 I got my life's wish of being pregnant. Now this blog has transitioned from random blabber, to weight loss, to being a new mommy.
It's ever changing and ever evolving, just like me.

popcorn balls

i have a halloween party this weekend and my plan was to make pumpkin cupcakes and popcorn balls. i've never made either before. so i decided to make do a practice run for the popcorn balls since i've already make cupcakes before. popcorn balls are completely foreign to me.

cooking the syrup took a long time. and in the end it was messy and a mission to clean because it gets hard. there was a 1 inch layer of hard syrup at the bottom of my pot. the popcorn itself, once mixed with the sugar syrup, was crunchy. its not for grown ups. if you have fillings or caps or crowns or anything its not for you! god i'm so old!! this is a really good recipe for kids. i'm sure they'll love it.

2 things i added. i wanted to drizzle chocolate ad caramel on them. i know how to melt caramel and i thought i could do the same with chocolate chips. WRONG! the chips got all clumped up and the ones that did melt were watery (from the milk) so when i drizzled it, it just soaked into the popcorn. the caramel came out the way i wanted to. pero imaginate, between the popcorn, the candy, and the caramel there's no way i can eat these. i don't know if i should bring them to the party. i wonder if there's some kids i can give these to.

anyway here's how they came out!
