Welcome to the babble!

Warning: I talk a lot! About anything and everything. I don't hold back. So buckle up.

in 2010 I got the gastric sleeve and I couldn't be happier with my decision. My new life has finally begun!

Finally in 2012 I got my life's wish of being pregnant. Now this blog has transitioned from random blabber, to weight loss, to being a new mommy.
It's ever changing and ever evolving, just like me.

Have you tried Max Protein?

Shelly at The World According To Eggface swears by Max Protein. So I went to GNC and low and behold they had it there! I was so excited! But it was like $60 for a 2lb tub. Sheesh. Not only is that expensive but what if I don't like it? I have a tub of protein powder sitting around. I already have lots of other protein powders I don't like sitting around. But none are 2lb tubs. But if its that expensive maybe it is tasty.

So this is where you guys come in. Have any of you ever tried it? If so, is it possible for you to send me a sample (perhaps in a baggie or a tiny gladware container)? I would pay for it of course. That would help me out tremendously.

  1. I've heard that GNC will let you return things even if they are opened...Usually Shelly is pretty spot on, though, so I'm sure it's good!

  2. Everyone is so different with what they like and don't like I think that you have to try it yourself a few times to be sure. But like Grace said GNC has a return policy. Shelly also has tips for tolerating your protien. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/10/icky-brown-gack.html

On this page she also links to a page she did on the Max Protein. She says that GNC even gave her samples. That might be worth trying.

The tips I like the most are the water vs milk. A couple of my protiens said to mix with water. I tried with milk and loved it. Others that say mix with milk some people love with water. Another thing I do is add the sugar free pudding mix or the sugar free syrups. It not only helps the flavor you can make one flavor of protein turn into a bunch of differen things (Choco covered cherry shake, bannana choco shake, choco mint...).

I hope you find what you are looking for!
