Welcome to the babble!

Warning: I talk a lot! About anything and everything. I don't hold back. So buckle up.

in 2010 I got the gastric sleeve and I couldn't be happier with my decision. My new life has finally begun!

Finally in 2012 I got my life's wish of being pregnant. Now this blog has transitioned from random blabber, to weight loss, to being a new mommy.
It's ever changing and ever evolving, just like me.

frustrated

ugh my tummy is taking so long to heal. its feeling better but still so swollen and retaining fluid. not to mention still all bruised up. he bruises don't seem to be changing. its annoying. i know i'm losing weight but i refuse to weigh myself till i'm healed. otherwise there's no point. my waist is bigger right now than it was the day of surgery. anyway its also annoying because people who know i got surgery see me, even though its only a week and a half later, and they expect me to be thinner already. and my face is a little smaller and noticeable then they look at my body and its still the same. its really not!! i can feel it changing on the sides but that damn belly! ugh! and i'm grateful that the gas pain is gone but the fluid and stuff in my belly still makes it hard to sleep too long. i'll be sooo tired but i'll need to get up and walk.

so yeah i'm a  bit frustrated because in the begining the changes seemed bigger but now the days go by and not much seems to change. i really hope this gets better in 3 weeks like they say. i'm almost at 2 weeks. so we'll see. ugh i'm so ready to be done with the recovery stage already and move on to other things!!

  1. You have to hang in there. I think my biggest problem is my lack of patients. Once I relaxed and actually stopped searching for the changes, they occurred without me noticing. Hang in there and enjoy the ride!

  3. Let yourself recover, everything will come in its own time. And do not put pressure on yourself because some people know you had surgery and are making judgments. This is for you and you determine your sucesses and failures - no one else. Just stay positive, do your best and before you know it your swelling will be down and you will get on that scale and be blown away

  4. I understand that after all the planning and checking, etc... you want results but you will see it before you know it. I don't know much about the sleeve but with the lap-band the weight loss is usually slow but permanent... who could ask for anything more? When you lose a pound... it is gone forever, we are different more inside each day and the outside changes because the inside changes. My new motto is "Eat to live, Not live to Eat!" and there's no looking back for more than a couple minutes of weakness here and there, which I just enjoy and move on. We'll get there, but enjoy the journey. *Maria*-blogger from "This one time at BAND Camp..." check out my blog at mybigfatbandgeeklife.blogspot.com
