in 2010 I got the gastric sleeve and I couldn't be happier with my decision. My new life has finally begun!

Finally in 2012 I got my life's wish of being pregnant. Now this blog has transitioned from random blabber, to weight loss, to being a new mommy.

Ketosis

Did ant of you guys suffer from bad breath or BO when after surgery? I hear when you go through ketosis bad breath is a side effect.

    ketosis is only if you are on a very very low carb (adkins style) diet. I have been on those diets and yes they give you bad breath and such, BUT WLS isnt adkins and while you will be taking in alot of protein, you should be getting good healthy carbs in too. I have never had issues after surgery

    I have not had WLS, but I have done very low carb in the past. (Atkins.) I was in ketosis and yes, I had lovely dragon breath. lol

    I too have only heard of ketosis/bad breath with a very low atkins style diet. I have not experienced it thank God!
