Has anyone tried these? I got 2 of these today. Zero sugar, no fat, 110 calories, 0g fiber, 1g carbs, 25g protein. wow how do they do it? It looks like a clear juice, not grainy looking at all. Its grape flavor. I can't imagine they taste good.
I also got these. I hope they taste ok.
I also went to GNC but I didn't find any sample sizes. Only huge tubs. I'm gonna buy the sample pack from Unjury online.
Anyone tried any of these? Did you like them? Any suggestions on good tasting protein powders?
I haven't tried either of these but they look promising... Let me know. Are you on Facebook? If so, Click my facebook link on my blog... I would love to be facebook friends... You seem to really be ready to rock this band. *Maria*-Blogger from "This one time at Band Camp..." Check out my blog at mybigfatbandgeeklife.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI have toyed with the idea of getting the protein shots. The Unjury wasn't bad, the chocolate is definitely doable. The strawberry sorbet was REALLY pink and kinda strange tasting. The vanilla was ok. But I will probably get the chocolate again.
ReplyDeleteI drank the isopure drinks, at first I would down them kuz I didn't really care for the taste. But after a couple of days I was able to take sips of it. It did have to be reaaly cold though. I also went to costco and got the premier protein chocolate shakes those are 30g of protein. So excited for you. :)
ReplyDeleteUnjury chocolate is my go-to protein drink. The Isopure punch flavor I have to cut in half with water and it has to be ice cold!
ReplyDeleteok this is interesting. why does the isopure have to be ice cold?? and why cut with water? what would it taste like otherwise?
ReplyDeletethanks for the feedback guys!!
I try to stick to protein powders/liquids that are pure whey isolate (which is what my doc recommends) so I don't do the pure protein brand anymore. However, I have tried the shots - they are ... strong... I personally couldn't stand them.
ReplyDeleteI do like the Designer Whey Lite and Lean Protein Water. I think they just rebranded them to ProteinBlitz and the flavors are slightly different, but I tried one and it was good. http://www.proteinblitz.com/all-products.htm#30gPunch
I personally like the Nectar brand of protein powders. The fruit flavored ones mix with water (I also add different flavored crystal ligth to change the flavor up) and are considered to be a clear protein (even though they have color). Also the French Vanilla and Chocolate truffle (mixed with milk) are great!! I use the unflavored and add it to many things and it was the only unflavored I found in my tastings that was actually unflavored. I also do the high protein slim fast and add teh unflavored nector to up the protein. I like this because the slim fast has more carbs for mornings, but when I am just looking for a protein boost I stick to the others.
what is pure whey isolate? is that different from just Whey protein?
ReplyDeleteLet us know how they taste! I've wondered about the protein shots...
ReplyDeleteHey Meli,
ReplyDeleteI use the unflavored Pure protien powder from bariatriceating.com. I've until last night, when I tried it in chocolate milk, I've always mixed it into ice cream. I have a cheap version of the magic bullet, and I'd mix a little milk with my protien, then add ice cream, malted milk, and maybe some peanut butter, depending on my flavor of ice cream. Frankly, it's absolutely delicious.
I've tried at least 3 or 4 other types/brands of protein, and this is the only one I can stand. I HATED the stuff from GNC.
